I took Bobby to the dentist this afternoon. My wife swung by to pick him up after dropping Katie off at Vanier. He had no cavities, which is nice!
Katie had Model UN after school today. She really gets along well with Vivian, who is incidentally another INFJ. Unfortunately Vivian just graduated Vanier and Jax is taking over Model UN now. Vivian sent Katie this note (see photo to the right).
My wife and I got to meet Amy, Katie’s future therapist this evening. She wanted to meet us before taking Katie on as a client. She is very nice, and discovered that she had ADHD late in life while dealing with the struggles of her two kids. Apparently it was passed to Amy via her father. She said one particular word to me that I latched on to “rally”. Put yourself together and “rally” for the next fight, whatever it may be… That’s kinda the mantra of my life, and probably what Katie is facing as well.
Amy’s nineteen year old daughter, who is a UVIC student now majoring in “Women Studies” was in Model UN in high school as well. It sounds like she is so much like Katie. Perhaps she will get to meet Katie one day…kinda like a “big sister”. When Katie goes to the Model UN conference in Victoria later this month maybe she will meet Katie…Amy indicated she might work something out.
