Bobby had a play date with Isaac and Esca over at Esca’s place today. I asked Bobby what they did and he said that they played tag and watched the movie “Spies in Disguise”.

Remember the large box of chocolates and cookies that I picked up for Katie’s Advent Calendar last year? Well, she got into them today (see photo to the right).
Katie is feeling much better so this evening so I took her for a drive, making this Daddy/Daughter Day #166. Just to be sure she is not contagious we both “tried to” wear masks!
We primarily talked about Amy, her “future” therapist, once she gets well enough to actually go to a session with her. To start the drive we ended up at Starbucks where Katie picked up a drink and no cake pop, which was a surprise. Katie wanted some Tim Horton’s but after seeing the menu we drove on through the drive thru without buying anything. That’s the first time I’ve ever done that! We ended up at McDonalds so she could have a McValue Cheeseburger Meal for $5. She didn’t want a drink so to complete the deal I got a coffee with some oat milk.
After the drive we picked up Bobby and Isaac at Esca’s place at 8:30 pm and dropped Isaac off home before heading home ourselves. The driveway at Esca’s was too narrow to turn around, and it was a bit dark and windy outside, so Katie got out of the car and guided me backwards. On the way home we encountered dense fog on Dove Creek Road and I told them about Steven King’s novel and movie “The Myst” where monsters live in the myst that rolls into town every night.
