The whole family got haircuts this morning from the lady who lives near Esca’s hour on Burns Road. My wife took Bobby and once Bobby got in the chair she texted me so that I could bring Katie.
After haircuts Katie and I went for a ride. We ended up at McDonalds where Katie got a McValue “Double Cheeseburger” Meal for $5.00 and upsized for $0.80 to a medium Fruitopia drink.
Bobby went over to Isaac’s place to celebrate Isaac’s birthday this afternoon. He’s really into Star Wars so Bobby gave him a Lego Set and three Star Wars 3D Prints (see photo to the right) The birthday party was three hours long.
Katie is really into nature these days and did some gardening this afternoon.
For Bobby’s birthday next month he wants to go to a trampoline park in Nanaimo. We might have to take both the van and the car to accommodate all his friends. Katie was inquiring if she could take some of her friends but we’re not sure we will have enough room in the cars.
Katie and I got together this evening to watch the Super Bowl in the “Big House”. It was largely a defensive game in which the Seahawks prevailed over the Patriots 29-13.
Since we are on west coast time here in Courtenay the game started at 3:30 pm. Bad Bunny performed at half time with Green Day opening the Super Bowl and a special performance by Lady GaGa as well.
For some reason even though the television channel was NBC we didn’t get any of the great American Super Bowl ads…just lame Canadian ones… That was another downer.
