We had a “mystery fire” in the paddock by the wood shed this morning. There are no gas lines there, but there are power lines.
Carolyn was alerted by her dog Mishka (who drinks a lot of water by the way) and she alerted us. She said that she saw a foot high flame and smoke in the paddock! My wife did find a few pieces of black “stuff” in the driveway (see photo to the left), but no signs of anything else.
We contacted our electrician who said that it’s unlikely that electrical lines under the ground could burst into flame, so we think that something might have fallen???
It was a good excuse to contact the electrician as we need to get the flood lights behind the barn replaced with something more modern. They are so rusty that we can’t even unscrew them!
Also, the chicken coop is in need of repairs. My wife got the number of a local handyman recently so we might give him a try.
I was thinking of taking Bobby out fishing but the weather is rainy and cold!
Katie is looking forward to meeting the therapist tomorrow.
