It’s “Family Day” here in Canada so no school for the kids today!
This afternoon I took my son to see the movie “Goat” (see photo to the right). Let’s call this Daddy/Son Day #103. The place was packed but fortunately the two people who reserved the two seats next to us in the front row didn’t make it for some reason.
Before the movie we stopped off at Dairy Queen for a bite to eat. With two combo meals that included burgers, fries, shakes, and sundaes, the price tag came to over $26. The $5 McValue options are certainly a better deal.
While we sat in the Dairy Queen parking lot eating our meal Bobby and I discussed investing, how hiding your money will not work due to inflation, and home run stocks like NVDA.
On the way home from the movie Bobby and I talked about the crazy song from the 60’s called “Surfin Bird”. I even pulled over to show him a YouTube video of it.
My new bookshelf is assembled now. We opted for the “L” format, but the more I look at it I think that the long format will work better.
Today’s my birthday so I got cards and some picture frames of various guitar patents. Bobby made a 3D printer holder for my Amazon Fire tablet.
