There was a lot of snow on the ground when we got up this morning (see photo to the right). What a “Wasted Snow Day”! Why wasted? Because snows on days like this, on the weekend, meant that we didn’t get to stay home from school as a kid. After all, what is the point of snow if it doesn’t mean you can’t stay home from school, right? Even lots of snow will not deter Maple’s desire to go outside and play ball!
Bobby was sick today as well. He got “so so” as the day progressed.
We need “layer feed” and “white shavings” for the chickens. It was so nasty this afternoon that I decided to wait for the weather to clear up before getting it at Shar-Kare.
Katie was thinking of sending a video out to one of her friends “mildly mentioning” that she felt that she didn’t do any of the work on the joint projects they were supposed to be working on together. In the end she decided to wait on this…and get back to focusing on her homework for the weekend.
Tomorrow is the Olympic Men’s Hockey Final between Canada and the USA. Since we are on PST the faceoff is at 5:10 am (ugh!). It’s at a much more reasonable 8:10 am EST, which is one reason that it’s better to live in that time zone. Oh well, 5:10 am alarm for daddy it is… Katie wanted to watch it with me but that’s way too early for her. In fact, that might be when she goes to bed… 🙂
