My wife went to Huband to make salad so I took Katie to school this morning. I went home to be with Bobby as he has an ear ache and we were anticipating an early morning doctor’s appointment. We watched a bit of tv together and I told him about the “Chip & Dale” chipmunks (see photo to the right) from when I was a kid. On this particular episode they were fighting, which was very uncharacteristic of them as they were usually so agreeable.
Katie’s classmate Jax, who is the Vanier Model UN leader, told her about a volunteer position with “cats”. Katie is thinking of applying and is happy now that she held off on applying for the position with “Too Good To Be Thru”.
My wife took Bobby to see the doctor this afternoon so I took Katie to the lab so that she could get her blood work done. She was worrying about it all day, but it was practically nothing as she said later, but her arm did start to hurt during our drive afterwards. We went to Goose Spit, downtown Comox, and the “usual haunts” and talked about yesterday’s therapy session, making this Daddy/Daughter Chat #45.
On the way home we stopped off at McDonalds where Katie picked up a McFlurry. We picked up a $5 McValue Cheeseburger Meal + McFlurry for Bobby and a poutine for my wife.
