Day #5903 – (Thu., Mar. 5, 2026) – Autism Testing

Both kids went to school today. I will be taking Bobby to get lab work done after school today so he didn’t take his bike today.

Katie got the results for the math contest she took. She got 30/60 and was not too happy about it. Considering that it was a contest rather than a test, it was much harder. Anika got only 13 and Zoey only got 20, but their test was appartently harder.

I took Bobby to LifeLabs after Huband let out this afternoon for a 2:50 pm lab appointment to get his blood work done. There were not many people there so it was a quick in and out.

On the drive to LifeLabs Bobby and I talked about how many friends he has here and the fact that he actually has a “friend group” now. I mentioned to him that it looks like the Mario Brothers movie he wants to see is out now so we made tentative plans to see it this weekend. On the drive home I told him that W.C. Fields wrote on his tombstone “I would rather be in Philadelphia”. We also talked about Dolly Parton and the book program she has.

Katie went with Jax to visit an elementary school and talk to the kids about Model UN this afternoon (see photo to the right … not sure what the chicken is all about). I picked her up at Starbucks around 5:30 pm. Jax wants Katie to head the outreach program to elementary schools next year as he will be graduating.

We made an appointment for Katie to be tested for Autism in Victoria. We will be having a zoom “intake session” with Dr. Keating on May 6th, 2026. I will drive Katie down to Victoria on Saturday, May 9, 2026 where we will spend the night in an Air B&B. Autism testing will be at noon on Sunday and we will drive home to Courtenay after that.

Kristina was planning on coming this weekend but it’s going to be rainy all weekend so we’re not sure now.
