Katie is getting ready for her trip with Jax to see Vivian on Hornby Island tomorrow. Jax will be picking her up just after 6 am tomorrow morning and she will be coming back on Thursday morning.
My wife went to Duncan for a couple of days of work this afternoon. She left around 4 pm and will be back on Thursday evening, and will have five days off work after that. She joined Audible.com to pick up some audio books to listen to on these long drives.
Katie and I went driving this evening, or should I say that she drove and I accompanied her. I showed her how the gate worked and she drove out the gate, around the Huband neighborhoods, to Panabo pizza, and back home in through the gates again. Her first full trip, and she picked up pizza as well (see photo to the right)!
Katie is still learning how to use the gas and brake pedal so there is a lot of jerking motion to the car during stops and starts. As a result, I have such a sore neck tonight! I’m glad she will be away tomorrow so my neck will have a day to rest up…
Bobby was surprised and delighted that we picked up Panabo pizza this evening. We got one large Hawaiian, his favorite, and also a large cheese pizza for Katie. I took pizza and milk up to Bobby as he was too busy gaming. Katie and I settled into the comfy chairs in the family room, munched away, and watched a movie on YouTube called “A plane flies through a black hole and falls into the past” on the Movie Cabbage YouTube channel. Not a professional movie, but quite good when paired with delicious pizza!
