Bobby’s sore throat has gotten worse. He’s really sick today. We might need to take him to the doctor tomorrow.
Katie and her mother went to the “Real Canadian Superstore” for groceries this afternoon. I guess the cashier got talking to them and they forgot to go to the service desk and get their “free gift”! I guess every time you spend $300 you get the gift that was advertised this week, and today’s gift was a set of mixing bowls with covers. Since I was going to McDonalds for a coffee I stopped by to pick them up (see photo to the left).
While there I also picked up some queso for Katie! It was in the section where they sell the tortilla chips, naturally. Finding the Cheese Whiz was not to be as easy! Since the queso is medium and not milk I thought it would be great to get some Cheese Whiz to “mild it down” a bit in case it was too spicy for Katie. Half queso + half Cheese Whiz + a bit of milk, then stir, then microwave = mild queso delish!
Well, my quest for Cheese Whiz was not to be that simple! They used to have it near the crackers when I used to buy it years ago, but it wasn’t there. Once of the employees was not sure they sold it. At any rate, I pretty well gave up when I was heading to the cashier and happened to ask one of the employees who was putting stuff on a shelf. She told me that it was in the fridge section near the regular cheese. Really???? A shelf stable item like Cheese Whiz in a fridge? Probably because people want it cold no doubt. Whatever!
I took the eTrike out for a spin after McDonalds this evening. The odometer has just turned over the 10 mile mark. I had it up to 14 mph in 4th gear this evening for the first time! Lots of pep!
