Day #6087 – (Sat., Sep. 5, 2026) – London Catering

My wife was up with the guests early this morning. After having breakfast they went out for the day.

The kids stayed home and played games together and watched some television. Soon they will be back to school, so these are the “waning hours” of summer vacation!

Batman is pretty “chill” today as well (see photo to the left).

My wife and her friends made it to Blackfin for dinner this evening. After that they watched the sun go down.

I was able to use my knee brace to good effect this evening. After plenty of Tylenol and Advil I went down to see the guests in the main house. The “chef” made dinner for us, and her daughter gave me a couple of souvenirs from Dalhousie, a Dal keychain and Dal pen. We talked about various subjects ranging from how donairs originated in Halifax to catering in London. We didn’t stay up too late as they will be driving to Campbell River tomorrow morning to do some whale watching!

Katie plans to ask her counselor to move science to first semester. Her second semester is going to be very stressful with the conference so she wants to get it out of the way. My wife says that she can try, but they may have set it up that way for a reason.

We have an appointment with Amy on Monday evening. Katie plans to talk to her about the upcoming school year and how to avoid burnout and have more self-confidence. I suggested that she bring up how driving is stressing her out as well.
