Day #6089 – (Mon., Sep. 7, 2026) – Labour Day!

My wife drove her friends to the airport EARLY this morning for their flight to Halifax. They were up at 4 am, for a 5:30 am flight.

The photo to the right shows one of the whales they encountered yesterday popping it’s head above water!

Emma invited Katie to Vanier tomorrow to greet the new kids. They do this every year. Emma said that if Katie would do it she would to. My legs is still “so-so”, so her mother is going to drive her to Vanier at 7:40 am tomorrow. I tried to make an appointment to see the doctor this morning, but since it’s Labour Day, the office is closed.

Since Emma invited Katie she must still want to be friends. There was some doubt as Emma didn’t contact Katie all summer, but I guess it was due to her teaching so many summer classes in art and such.

Katie had an appointment with Amy this evening. Both her mother and I went. We took separate cars as I wanted to go to a coffee shop after the meeting. The meeting went well and Amy mentioned to Katie about “The Foundry” where they will have lots of supportive staff on hand. Since Katie has thousands of $$$ in funding, money is not an issue. The current plan is that Katie will see Amy every week. Overcoming the stress of driving is also on the agenda. She is very excited, and I am very excited for her. I wished I had such a comprehensive package like this when I was 16 years old, or even knew that they existed.

Bobby plans to ride his eBike to Huband tomorrow morning, his first day of school!
