Day #867 (Sat., May 19, 2012) – It’s Your Turn
Katie slept in today…rough night. She got up around 11:30am and soon she was on our bed laughing hysterically. I just stared at her and she soon said “It’s your turn”. She wanted me to laugh so I laughed along…
The contractors came back to take care of the ivy and dead trees on our property this afternoon. In the photo to the left you can see one of them up a tree. He would cut off various sections of the tree rather than cutting it at the base and risk it falling onto the house.
This evening we bundled up Katie and drove out to Cary. I had to drop my car off at mechanic Ron’s place and since we were in the neighborhood we decided to stop off at the old house. It was listed yesterday and we were surprised to see the repairs to the outside were not done and there was a step ladder in the main bedroom.
On the way home we stopped off at Moe’s in Cary for a burrito. The manager remembered Katie and was surprised at how much she has grown. While we were eating, all of a sudden, Katie started to sway to the music that was being played. I got a good video on that one…
At home this evening Katie brought a stepping stool over to my LazyBoy, got up on it, and started to sing. She was giving daddy a concert of her voice. I clapped of course.
Later on Katie was in my arms while we watched “Team Umizoomi”. She gave me a kiss as mommy put her to bed.
