Day #1249 (Wed., Jun 5, 2013) – Paintbrush The Pony
Alexa took Katie to see her friend’s pony “Paintbrush” (see photo to the left) today. I asked Katie about it when I got home and she said that Paintbrush eats hay and that she got a chance to ride on her.
This evening my wife went to a meeting in our community to discuss potential changes via the Town of Chapel Hill. I stayed home and took care of Katie. We started off by continuing reading and doing the activities in the Sticker/Activity Book we were playing with yesterday. That soon morphed into other activities…
For example, Katie started to pour juice on her arms. She said that this helped her skin feel better after sunburn. She soon was pouring it over me…so I could feel better from my sunburn as well. Sticky…I didn’t stick around for too much of that.
I put the television show “Full House” on the tv this evening. It was a family sitcom of the late 80’s and early 90’s. Surprisingly Katie really took to it. Perhaps this is the transition from cartoons to more family centered shows?
