Day #1360 (Tue., Sept. 24, 2013) – The “Spirit” Store
As you will recall the Halloween Store (real name “Spirit”) was closed last night when we drove by. Katie was not about to let us forget that and wanted to go see it this evening, so we did.
There was a lot for a little impressionable mind to take in. There were scary clowns and spiders and dogs and such that would move and give off scary sounds when you pushed a button. There were various hats and costumes and accessories to try on. You can see Katie dawning the Batman Mask in the photo to the right. There was a fog machine. There were little rat figures and plenty of other cool gadgets. What’s not to like?
Katie was afraid of all the noises that the various contraptions gave off. She would hide behind an aisle as we fired up some of them. Having said that, she could not resist the temptation to peer out and see exactly what was going on.
