Day #2779 (Tue., Aug. 15, 2017) – Being More Mindful
Katie was very excited as I dropped her off at Spence’s Farm this morning. Today they will get the chance to ride the horses.
It was a bit confusing on how to drop her off. There is usually a bunch of kids at the table near the house, but there was nobody there. A man was coming out of the house and he told me that I needed to go into the house and “check” a form (see photo to the right). It should be more clear.
I went to the help desk as soon as I got into the office to show them my work laptop and the damaged keyboard. Unfortunately, with these new lite laptops, you have to replace the computer rather than just the keyboard. They set up a meeting with their vendor. Apparently, he will call me and I will need to take the computer down to the help desk area where he will resolve the issue.
I showed the laptop to Katie this evening and stressed the importance of her being “mindful” and not leaving my office door open so that he can roam around. He’s too young to reprimand right now, so we’ll just have to be more careful in keeping him out of problem areas.
