Happy 11th Birthday Bobby! Katie is feeling much better now and went to school. Since today is a “Teacher Conference” at Huband, he stayed home.
Just after noon today my wife and I were scheduled to go meet Bobby’s teachers. I seem to have caught (eventually) what the whole family is struggling with and was too sick to attend. My wife took a picture of Bobby’s art (see photo to the right). While at home Katie drew a beautiful picture of a leopard, which you can see below it.
My wife found out something interesting about Bobby. The last time we met Ms. Hudson, Bobby’s teacher, she showed us the page with Bobby’s grades and his biggest issue was not raising his hand and talking. As such, his goal for this quarter was to raise his hand and participate in classroom conversations more. Well, my wife asked him about this and he said that sometimes he’s afraid to make other kids feel bad if he shares his experiences. Ms. Hudson said that that really sums Bobby up – he’s very sensitive to others.
Once the kids were home from school it was time to give Bobby his birthday present (see photo to the left). I was too sick to attend so we did a Facetime with the “Barn Suite”. We will be celebrating his birthday further with a trip to a trampoline park and a birthday cake this Sunday.
