The photo to the left shows the John Deere toy tractor that we got for Bobby at Christmas. See how the decal is wearing off due to it being outside? The tractor I had was painted so I didn’t have to worry about such things when I was growing up.
My wife drove Katie to Spence’s farm this morning as I am working from home. Katie got to ride on the horses today. She also told me about the mice at Spence’s farm. According to Katie, they used to live in the walls of the house but they captured them and made them into pets. My wife saw them and said that they were white, so it looks like they are store bought.
My wife went and got the two kids of Arnesa’s friend who have moved to Carborro and brought them over to our place this afternoon to play with Katie. Their names are Nura, who will be turning eight soon, and Hatidza, who is six. They have a younger brother Omer who will be two soon.
When she dropped the girls off they invited her and Bobby and Katie in for dinner. They didn’t get home til around 8pm. The girls really love Katie and are happy that they now have a good friend in a new country. Bobby, for his part, enjoys being with other kids and running around and having fun.
I purchased some turkey breast luncheon meat at Trader Joe’s today and Bobby at five slices of it when he got home. I guess he was having too much fun to stop and eat when he was “invited out to dinner”.
