Day #2819 (Sun., Sep. 24, 2017) – The Halloween Store
My wife took Bobby to Vivian’s birthday party this morning. Vivian is one of the girls in his class. This is effectively the first time that we have taken Bobby to a specific party in which he, and not Katie, has been invited. Back at home Katie and I played a round of the “Max The Cat” board game until Susan came at 11:30am and took her to a jumping gym in Raleigh for the day.
I’ve been trying to fix the white mechanical dog that Katie got for Christmas but to no avail. We think that Bobby held its legs while pushing the button and the gears are stripped. At any rate, I went to Walmart this afternoon and got her another one. It’s not fair that she should be penalized for something that Bobby damaged. I told her that she needs to take care of these dogs and keep them out of Bobby’s reach if she wants to ensure their safety.
When Bobby got up from his nap this afternoon we took him and Katie to the Halloween Store. Kind of like a “Free Halloween Disneyland” for kids. You can see Bobby “spooked” by the mechanical spider in the photo to the right.
On the way home we stopped off at the Wendy’s drive thru where the kids each got a kid’s meal and my wife got a baked potato and chili. I will have a salad when I get home…trying to lose weight for my knee replacement surgery on Thursday.
