My wife and I took the afternoon off work to go visit a psychologist near where I work. We’re not sure if Katie or us will benefit the most. We just want to get guidance on how to best rear Katie and help her cope with the various challenges that we all face in these wild and mad and hectic times in which we live. She seems really nice and told us that we both love her. Everything else will stem from that. She wants to meet Katie and so we are working out a time which will be best for all involved. My wife was particularly encouraged that she didn’t want to pull Katie out of school on a recurring basis to come and see her. She was also agreeable to doing a video conferencing session as this will be even more convenient for us given our hectic schedules. All in all, we were quite pleased with her and her approach to the situation. I ended up telling her a lot about my background and views. She will hear more about my wife’s background and views in our next meeting.
The photo to the left shows another tasty delight courtesy of Trader Joe’s. Ghosts and bats potato chips.
This evening Bobby was especially wild and energetic. We made a game of tying him up with the skipping rope. Once tied he would wander over to his mother to untie her. With that done, he would wander back to me to get tied up again.
There was a special treat for Bobby as he was going to bed this evening. My wife found his original ambulance car for him. There was a look of sheer delight as she carried him off to bedtime.
