Day #2841 (Mon., Oct. 16, 2017) – Follow Up With The Knee Surgeon

I met with the knee surgeon today. He was really impressed with the progress I have made so far. They took out the staples from my knee.
The family went for a walk up our street this evening. Bobby ran up into one of the neighbor’s yard and Katie went up to retrieve him. The neighbor came out to scold us about not keeping a “leash” on our kids. That was quite surprising. He could have at least been nice about it. Apparently, Katie, who tends Lucy’s dog, had warned us about this sort of behavior. We will make note of that for the future.
We are thinking of having a rather small birthday party for Katie this year. If we have to invite everyone in her class there are a couple of girls that we would rather Katie not associate with. I will possibly be having my second knee surgery at that time, so we have an “excuse” to have a smaller party.
Katie was looking for a candy this evening so I gave her a butterscotch hard candy that I happened to have. I told her that my favorite ice cream was butterscotch ripple when I was growing up. Once my legs are better I will have to take her to an ice cream shop for her to give it a try.
