Day #2945 (Sun., Jan. 28, 2018) – Two “Special Presents”
When I got up this morning Bobby was making his way out the door to play in the rain. In an effort to keep him pacified I brought out my first “Special Present” of the day, which was “Marble Run” (see photo to the left). You basically build this maze and let a marble start off at the top of the tower and it will meander its way down to the bottom. Katie and Bobby both enjoyed it for a time, but I think that the aspect of building the tower was waining their interest. I should have built the tower first, and then gave them the gift.
My wife took Katie to a play about the Magic Treehouse books that she is reading. They went to a Lego display afterward. Bobby was in bed when they left, but he did a #2 and wanted to eat some more. Well, that’s when it got interesting. He would not go to bed, and now that he can open doors, I found him in the bedroom across the hall. Rather than go to bed he said he wanted to eat some more and then threw that up. Eventually, he went to bed…around 3 pm, and I was exhausted so I went to bed as well.
This evening I brought out the second “Special Present” of the day, basically a set of building blocks that I picked up at the Dollar Store. Bobby enjoyed knocking down the “Tall Tower” that I built with them.
