Day #2984 (Thu., Mar. 8, 2018) – Frederick Douglas Reading

2018-03-08 - Hot WheelsI drove both Katie and Helen to Glenwood this morning. Katie was relaying a story of how she was waiting for us and her father drove up beside her to get a kiss and hug goodbye. She said that she gave him a kiss and as she was going around the car to see him he was gone. I said, “Oh no, he was abducted by aliens”? She of course meant that he drove off. This lead to a long dialog between Helen, Katie and myself of aliens that live in our neighborhood, like the hairy four-legged one that lives next door and comes over to eat our cat food (i.e.: Ginger).

There is a tree that is about to go down in Mike’s back yard. He was going to take care of it but his chainsaw broke. He’s trying to get Steven to cut it down. The worry is that it might fall on the kids.

My wife wanted me to go to WalMart to get some dinosaur crackers this evening for Bobby’s birthday party. While there I bought a bunch of Hot Wheels cars (see photo to the left), the tiny ones, that go down Bobby’s racetrack tower so well.  In the end, seven of them worked great (especially the green ones…the one shown at the top of the photo).

The Bosnians took Katie to a reading about Frederick Douglas this evening.
