One week from this morning I will be having my knee replacement surgery…
Susan took Helen to school today. Katie wanted to play “Bigger Than A Breadbox” in the car. She went first and chose “ladybug”. I got it because she chose this exact same animal when we played a couple of weeks ago. I thought I would play a trick on her and chose “Wildebeast”. It took her a while to get it, but she did get it.
On the drive to Glenwood this morning Katie wanted to talk about her “Fat Cat” bank account that she opened yesterday. She said that she was saving the money for a $1000 camera. She already has $20 in the account, so I told her that she would need to save 49 more $20 bills in order to buy this camera. It’s good for her to learn about the principles of saving when she is young.
Katie got the “Reader Of The Month” award today.
I lost my driving glasses and cannot find them. I decided to ask Bobby and he knew exactly where they were. He put them in the compartment on the car door the last time he was playing in it.
My wife went to a meeting to defend the Mandarin Dual Language Program this evening. She had to give a 2-minute speech. I stayed home with the kids. Katie and Bobby played ABCMouse while I made popcorn in the microwave (see photo to the right). I tried to get Katie to practice the piano but she could not find her piano books. It’s always a challenge to get Bobby to behave during this evening ritual.
When 8:15 pm rolled around Katie went to bed no problem. After several feedings and several attempts, I managed to put Bobby to bed at 10:45 pm. My wife didn’t get home til after midnight.
