We got up too late to enjoy the free buffet breakfast that La Quinta was providing. As a result we went to Bojangles, which was situated just in front of the hotel. We were originally thinking of Wendy’s, which is nearby, but they don’t serve breakfast.
We drove to Knoxville to see the zoo this morning. They were offering 50% off for those fleeing Hurricane Florence. This zoo is so much better laid out than the Ashboro zoo we usually go to. They have a lot of various exhibits and attractions for the kids, such as petting goats (see photo to the right). They have little stations of mist along the way so that you don’t get overheated on sunny days. We were unable to see all of it so we decided that we will come back tomorrow and see the rest.
We were all tired when we got back to the La Quinta in Loudon. We all napped, even Katie (surprise, surprise!).
This evening we went to the dog park down the road so that Maple could have a run. I stopped off at the drugstore to get some orange juice and vitamin C as my wife is starting to come down with something.
