Day #3172 (Wed., Sept. 12, 2018) – Tennessee Bound
Katie will miss a day of school today as we are leaving for Tennessee. We were going to leave after Bobby’s preschool, but headed out before. Jui-Lan said that she will take care of our cats.
We passed through Ashville and just happened to see the McDonalds outside of the Biltmore Estates (see photo right).
We stopped in Gatlinburg for a pizza at CiCi’s. Cheap enough. It would be $1.99 for Bobby to eat…something to keep in mind when we visit Gatlinburg on the way back home.
On the way through Pigeon Forge to Loudon, Tennessee we saw an upside down house, King Kong climbing a building, and various other “Vegas” type attractions. The place has sure changed since I passed through with my mother in 1996.
As we were leaving Pigeon Forge, Maple jumped into the front seat. We were wondering what it was all about but we quickly learned when we let her out and she did a #2 near the Baskin-Robbins.
We arrived in Loudon around 6 pm. I can see why it is such a safe place. Sleepy little town.
After checking into the La Quinta Inn, the kids had a quick dip in the indoor pool and hot tub, then it was right to bed.
