Day #3201 (Thu., Oct. 11, 2018) – Hurricane Michael
Glenwood cancelled school today due to Hurricane Michael so Katie is home. There is also no preschool for Bobby on Thursdays so he is home.
I took Bobby to his dentist this morning for a cleaning and checkup. He had no cavities. He picked out a “slimy hand” as his present afterward the appointment. We had to hurry back home as the winds from Hurricane Michael are due in a couple of hours.
My wife tried to put Bobby to bed for his nap this afternoon but he cried and cried for me. As soon as I lied down beside him he calmed down and was soon out.
The winds took down a large branch in our back yard and damaged the garden structure (see photo to the right). Luckily nothing hit the house.
The kids have been wild today…being cooped up all day will do that…
There was a real hard time getting Katie to do her homework this evening. We left it til the last minute and there was quite a few problems. She had a hard time focusing and made mistake after mistake.
I made a dish of brownies (with oatmeal added in) this evening.
