Day #3202 (Fri., Oct. 12, 2018) – Escalator Fun
School was cancelled for both Katie and Bobby today. When I saw how much energy they had this morning after my wife went to work, I realized that I needed to take them somewhere to burn it off.
At first I thought about taking them to the Tumble Gym in Southern Village as Friday is $5 day when anyone without a membership could come and play. Well, the power was out due to Hurricane Michael, so that didn’t work out. The Tumble Gym near CiCi was also closed, so we ended up at the play area in SouthPoint Mall. Both kids loved it, but they especially loved going up and down the escalators (see photo to the left). We went up and down many times. The parents were smiling at us…they knew how much joy this was when they were young.
Bobby slept for 4 hours this afternoon. I guess all this running around this morning did tire him out.
Katie was supposed to fold the clothes today. She did put them into piles…but no folding… Well, at least she did something.
I fixed the little toy “boom box” for Bobby this evening. All it needed was a good taking apart and shaking the water out of it. Bobby took it outside and the rain, well, you know…
Bobby had a bath this evening. He took great joy in showing my wife and I how he could float.
