Day #6097 – (Tue., Sep. 15, 2026) – First Interact Meeting!

2026-09-15 - Spiderman

As I was passing by the toy aisle on the way out of Shopper’s Drug Mart last night I noticed this (see photo to the right). I think this is the exact “Man” that Bobby loved so much in that Christmas video when he was a kid!

The pills that the doctor gave me last night work great. At least in that I can sleep now. I can still feel the throbbing underneath a bit, but the pain is mostly gone. I felt well enough this morning to drop Katie off at school!

Poor Bobby is getting worse. It’s too bad that the doctor last week had this “wait and see” approach or he would be well on his way to recovery with antibiotic medicine. So, no school for him today, but my wife made an appointment for him at Urgent Care. Fortunately the doctor who saw him was the same Romanian doctor who gave me the prescription last night. My wife picked Bobby’s prescription up at 5:45 pm this evening, but it will take a few days to “kick in”. At least he got the prescription this time.

Katie had the first interact meeting of the school year today at noon. It was rather quick, but they did talk about the “club booths” that Vanier will have this upcoming Friday. They are basically a way for the various clubs to present themselves to the students and tell what they have to offer. The Vanier Interact Club plans a booth as well.

I took Katie to Daisy’s place for viola lessons this afternoon. Bobby of course was too ill too attend. Daisy says that I’m always welcome to come in, but today especially I didn’t want to risk injuring my leg again, so I dropped Katie off, did some errands, and came back to pick her up when it was over.
