The new fishing line worked great. I was able to get the arrow to take it up over the tree limb and hoist the rope over the limb as well. That means the hard job is done. It was getting dark so I will have to finish putting the swing up another day.
The kids and wife worked on the big pumpkin today while I was working on the swing (see photo to the right). My wife did the carving with the knife while the kids did the scooping.
The question was, what sort of design would there be this year? They chose a rather simple design, a basic Jack-O-Lantern, and put it out on a stand near our front door. We didn’t want to put it down near the road this year as it might signal to the neighborhood kids that we would be handing out candy. We’re going to pass on getting together for Halloween this year due to COVID-19.
