It was raining this morning so what a great time to sit back and relax and enjoy the island!
At 1pm this afternoon there were more January 6th Hearings about Trump.
Later this afternoon my wife took Bobby to the beach for a swim. He took a body board that was left behind at our rental unit. Katie is still a bit burned so she stayed behind and played on the iPad while I slept.
This afternoon my wife took the kids to see the Ocracoke Lighthouse.
This evening my wife was planning on taking the kids on a boat tour around the harbor but it was cancelled due to lack of people signing up. We decided to go souvenir shopping.
We ended up at the Pirate Chest Souvenir Shop (across the street from the Variety Store). Bobby picked up a sword and a boat. Katie got some picture frames. My wife got a shell necklace. Daddy got a pen and a 30 cent bookmark.
We were thinking of going to Smacnally’s for dinner this evening, but it was packed. We went to Howard’s Pub instead and took our food to the roof (see photo to the right).
To cap off the evening we picked up a cake at the Variety Store and ate it at a picnic near the harbor as we watched the sunset.
