Day #4546 (Fri., Jun. 17, 2022) – Ocracoke Tram Tour

We all went to the beach this morning.  I spent most of the time trying to prevent the wind from blowing the beach umbrella away.  In the end it was quite the arm workout!

This afternoon we had the “poor man’s tour” of Ocracoke via the free tram that they provide the tourists.  I was hoping that the driver would give more of a guide, but it was not to be.  He just drove around, and rather fast I might add…

For dinner this afternoon we ate at Smacnalley’s on the dock (see photo to the right).  I took note of the great salad bowls that they serve in a huge taco shell.

Later this evening we had our second “Village Craftsman Ghost Tour” since we arrived on the island.  This tour was guided by the husband of the lady who gave the tour earlier in the week.  He brought a little guitar and sang a couple of songs for us.  His last story was that of a woman who was buried alive and Katie said that this story was very scary!
