Day #4558 (Wed., Jun. 29, 2022) – Viola Stripe Removal

Bobby was up real early this morning so he was rather fussy by the time it came to go to viola/violin class at 11 am.  He was so fussy that he went to bed and had a nap while my wife took Katie to her lesson.  Katie has advanced so much that Miss Patricia allowed her to take the color coding stripes off the neck of her viola.  This means that she will be playing all her future songs by ear as opposed to seeing the stripes on the neck to determine where her fingers should be placed.

I set up the portable record player on the dining room table and showed Bobby how to play a 45 record.  I then traced the outline of a 45 record and showed him how the needle actually follows little grooves in the record to play the music.  We then had a discussion of how this player is mono (meaning one speaker) as opposed to stereo (two speakers).

Katie has resumed her online drawing classes.  You can see her rendition of Thor in the drawing to the left.

Bobby was rather wild this afternoon when he got up from his nap.  He enjoyed doing some tumbling on the exercise mats in the living room.  He and I went out side to play some frisbee later in the day until the bugs started to eat me.
