It’s been a rather long time since I actually worked in an office, but in honor of the extra money we received yesterday via the Social Security Administration, I thought I would have a little “Retirement Party” with the family… 🙂
At Harris-Teeter this morning I picked up an Entenmann’s Party Cake, and two candles, a “6” and a “2”. You can see the finished result in the photo to the left! I was always going to pick one of these cakes up for the kids anyway, and two candles seemed like a cheap enough expense. Bobby actually said that the cake was too sweet for him, but when I woke up from a nap this afternoon most of it was gone… Just sayin, it wasn’t “TOO SWEET” for him to enjoy polishing most of it off!
For dinner this evening I made the family “Hamburger Sandwiches”. Cheeseburger sandwiches actually as I added a slice of cheese to the mix. It’s basically a hamburger, but instead of a bun you lightly toast two slices of bread. Lightly meaning a little more than warming…a tiny bit of crust!
Bobby is sleeping in Katie’s room again tonight. Even though Katie said that he snored last night… 🙂
