Day #4793 (Sun., Feb. 19, 2023) – Play Date With Ethan
Bobby had a play date with Ethan this afternoon. My wife drove him over and picked up some butter on the way back… More on that later…
Bobby and Ethan had a great time playing in the yard this afternoon. I guess they drove scooters and played wiffle ball most of the time. They were having such fun that we extended the play date from two hours to three.
Remember the butter that my wife picked up? They were a prime ingredient in the Nanaimo Bars that my wife made this afternoon. I loved them but my wife and both kids thought that they were too sweet.
I told the family that the three things that Canadians love are:
- Hockey
- Tim Horton’s
- Nanaimo Bars (probably even more so on Vancouver Island).
Bobby and I played in the yard just before bedtime this evening. We played a bit of wiffle ball, and then basketball, and even made some nunchucks (see photo to the left) out of two sticks, some turkey string, and duct tape. I showed him some videos on my phone of how Bruce Lee used them.
