Day #4939 (Sat., July 15, 2023) – Mentos & Coke
My wife took Katie and Bobby to the last viola/violin “Group Lesson” for the summer. They will take a bit of a break before starting back up in the fall.
I finally got a chance to do the “Mentos & Coke” experiment with Katie and Bobby this afternoon. After seeing some YouTube videos online, I taped some Mentos together and put them inside the Coke top (see photo to the left). As you can see I put a little hole in the top as some of the videos showing the bottle exploding, and I thought his would mitigate it a bit… Well, the hole turned out to be a bad idea as the resulting combination just “spewed” the contents out like a little shower mist. Oh well, better luck next time.
Katie is still not feeling well. She even had a nap this afternoon.
Bobby finished off the rest of the ZBars that I picked up the other day. He doesn’t have any more summer camps this summer, so I’m going to cut back on them moving forward.
Brin is off to Arizona. Here’s an email that my wife and Ethan’s mom got from her mother:
Just wanted to say one last huge thank you to the both of you for everything over the years. Your guys friendship and children have been such a light in our lives. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope we stay in touch like the kids do! Thank you all for everything and I’m sure Brynn will be contacting the boys as soon as she is able to!! ❤️❤️
I made “Corn On The Cobb” for the kids this evening. They loved it!
