Today is the last day (or 1/2 day if you want to call it that) at “Cosmic Camp” at the Chapel Hill Planetarium. I picked up Bobby at 11:45 am. Bobby told me that today they met a lot of the animals that they house, including two box turtles named Bob and Shelley, a hawk named Maple, and an opossum named Pepper. He also told me that they made a birdhouse (see photo to the right). The birdhouse was made out of paper rather than wood, but it is what it is…
Bobby was disappointed when we got home as he is waiting for the professional yo-yo that we ordered for him via Amazon. It was supposed to come today, but it will be here tomorrow.
I thought it would be a great idea if Katie made lunch for Bobby today, so she did. I told her that I would be there to help her out if she needed it. We have a cookbook of all kinds of delicious recipes for Bobby to choose from. In the end, he wanted simple toast and jam. Katie wanted to know if she should put the jam right to the edges and I said that it was probably a good idea as then he could have a bit of jam with every bite of toast. She agreed, as she likes it that way as well. She delivered it to Bobby with a glass of milk and played the wedding march on her iPhone for a bit of humor at the same time.
Ethan passed his swim test yesterday at the Clark Pool, so he is able to go to the deep end without a parent. Bobby said he lost a lot of his knowledge about swimming that Miss Barbara taught him, so we have signed him up for swimming lessons with Ethan’s instructor.
