Day #5079 (Sat., Dec. 2, 2023) – Packaging Advent Gifts

I was up till 2:30 am in the morning putting the associated gifts with the corresponding slots on the Advent Calendars for the kids. The photo to the right shows the gifts under the tree, ready to open on the corresponding day.

My wife took the kids to viola/violin lessons in which Kate (not our daughter but young Katie) gave her recital. She then took them to ice skating lessons.

When they got home we opened up Day #2 of our Advent gifts. Katie got a perfume box with one perfume vial in it (I distributed the other vials to other days of the advent calendar). Bobby got his first mission of his spy set (I distributed the other missions to other days of the advent calendar). My wife got a Belgian chocolate, I got “Spicy Eggnog” coffee, and Maple got an Advent treat as well.

I then went back to be as this “Thing” still has a hold on me. I’m biding my time till the Prednisone does it’s job…

When I got up I felt strong enough to have November’s Daddy/Son Day #72 with Bobby. I drove to McDonalds to get a double cheeseburger meal for him and the idea was to watch Kung Fu Season #1 Episode #2 called “Dark Angel” when I got back. Katie came along for the ride so I was able to have November’s Daddy/Daughter Chat Day #5 with her as well. On the way Katie and I chatted about the “Law of Attraction”, vibrations, and how LoA teaches criminals should be dealt with. Rather than a “coffee-ish” drink at Starbucks, today Katie got some McDonald’s fruit punch, fries, and an ice cream as well.

When I got home Bobby and did watch a bit of the Kung Fu episode mentioned, but about 1/2 way through he complained that his stomach was bothering him and went to his room to play video games half way through the show. Funny how even illness will not keep him away from his iPad.
