Day #5107 (Sat., Dec. 30, 2023) – Smashing Computers!
There was a martial arts class this morning but Bobby was too tired to go. No problem. At least he went last night, and is on the road to recovery…
My wife had a couple of old computers that no longer work and she was going to get rid of. Rather than just throw them out, why not have some fun in the demolition? I went to Panera Bread for a coffee this morning, and then to Aldi to pick up some groceries (i.e.: Pringles for Bobby), and as soon as I arrived home, Bobby was eager to get to work.
My wife put a mat down so that we would not have as big a problem cleaning up all the little transistors and chips that we had during our last “Smashing Computers” episode. Bobby started off with the multi-tool he received for Christmas, and then to the small sledge hammer, and then to the BIG sledge hammer (see photo to the left). Maple of course was more interested in playing ball!
Later this evening Katie and I watched another football game. This time it was the Detroit Lions vs. the Dallas Cowboys. No Taylor Swift in the stands for this one. No funny or unusual plays either, in fact a rather defensive game for the most part, so she soon lost interest. I cooked up a huge bowl of potatoes in the instant pot so we enjoyed those as we watched away.
Oh, and another thing I got at Aldi this afternoon was a six-pack of beer. Why? Well, Bobby has a bottle opener on his multi-tool and I wanted to show him how to use it. He had trouble at first, but soon figured it out. He hated the smell of the beer and made me leave the room as soon as the bottle was opened!
