Day #5150 (Sun., Feb. 11, 2024) – Super Bowl!
I went to Panera Bread for a coffee this afternoon. On the way I returned a couple of books that Katie had taken out at the Chapel Hill library (see photo to the right). When she really gets into one of these books she can finish about one a day.
The sink in the kitchen is leaking. I found this silicone tape on Amazon that seems to be just what the doctor ordered. We just ordered it.
Bobby was not feeling very good this afternoon, and even had a nap. Once he had a bath after this nap though he perked up. He was LOADED with energy when he was joking and messing around with Katie this afternoon on the couch.
The Super Bowl was on television this evening. Taylor Swift had to fly back from Japan in order to see her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, play. She will be off to Australia tomorrow to rejoin her tour. Luckily for her, The Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco Forty-Niners in overtime, so she will be celebrating with her boyfriend tonight!
Both Bobby and Katie watched quite a bit of the game with me in the living room. Bobby mostly so that he didn’t have to do homework, and Katie mostly to see Taylor Swift. It was a pretty good game, and although it looked like the 49ers were going to win by the end of the first half, it was the Chiefs who eventually prevailed.
Batman is getting more and more heroic and will venture out from from the basement and away from the cat tree. Of course when Maple “The Thug” hears him she will make a run for him, forcing him back to a place of safety.
