Day #5171 (Sun., Mar. 3, 2024) – Van “Dump” Stuff
My wife and Katie were into “cleaning mode” today. They went down into the basement and found a whole van full of junk that they carted off to the dump (see photo to the right).
Amongst all the “junk”, they found the air hockey game that we bought way back in the depths of the COVID-19 Pandemic. They brought it upstairs and Bobby and I enjoyed playing quite a few games of it this evening. He was a bit handicapped because he’s got a cast on his right wrist, so I went easy on him. I can’t remember the first time I actually played “air hockey”, but I think it was at a bowling alley way back when I was 14 years old. At any rate, I’ve been playing stuff like this for years so it will take a while before he gets up to speed. He actually hit his forearm on the side of the table multiple times, and eventually needed a band-aid for the blood.
Katie really LOVES the swing that I built outside for her. She goes out there for LONG swings. It helps her to relax and think. I think it was one of the best gifts I have ever given her.
