Both Katie and Bobby are home sick today. It doesn’t look like there will be any skiing lessons tomorrow. Bobby wants to see Mustafa, but it’s doubtful we will be going this weekend unless he feels better.
Katie has started a new novel and made a TikToc account for it to build up “Hype”. She has almost 200 likes after only one day of being up, so she is elated. She said that she has found her balance, marketing and writing, both great skills to have.

Ken mentioned that he planned on calling the automatic gate company and seeing if he could get us another arm since this one didn’t last very long… We’ve not heard back from him… I suspect they offered nothing. If we can’t get this arm for free, and have free installation via Ken, we’re just going to forgo it and leave this second gate open. Maureen, the previous owner, had it to keep the donkeys out of her garden. Since we don’t have any donkeys, or internal animals, to keep away, we only need to worry about deer and other garden eating animals that are external. As such, we will just get a new gate and automatic opener for the main gate at the front of the property. That will suffice.
There has been so much snow this past week I never got a chance to call the automatic gate contact that Amanda gave us. The plan is to call them, and also hopefully get a couple of good contacts from our two neighbors that have automatic gates so we can compare. Having said that, it would be good just to get one good contact!
