My wife was informed at a meeting today that the new cancer center director is shutting down their projects and that some of her cohorts like Adrian will probably lose his job. She should be fine for now as she is in another group, but with all this talk of cost cutting and layoffs and such in the States, you never know…
Katie went to school today but Bobby is home sick. I picked up Katie at Vanier and we went for a drive. This was the first time I had been off “The Property” in days, which felt really good.
Instead of taking the car, which is a bit “snowed in” near the “Barn Suite”, I walked down to the main house and took the van… It’s supposed to be 1 degree today, so hopefully all this snow we have will start melting…
Katie and I ended up at McDonalds where she ordered a “Cheeseburger EVM” and I had a black coffee. She’s really excited that Annika and Madeline are supporting the new novel she is creating.

Katie is also freaking out about skiing lessons and doesn’t want to go anymore. She’s already completed 5 out of the 10 lessons and feels that she knows enough skiing given the fact that she doesn’t want to become a professional. She doesn’t really like this new instructor she has, and might be worried about hurting herself? We’ll see where this goes…
We saw some black bunnies when we were out (see photo to the right). I thought bunnies turned white in the winter to hide from predators? Maybe these are imports?
My wife had me bring down the oxometer that she left in the “Barn Suite”.
Bobby is really excited about seeing the movie Mustafa this weekend. I asked him if he had outgrown “Dog Man”, and he said that he hadn’t, but would prefer to see the Mustafa movie instead.
