ChatGPT doesn’t only have a “Chat” mode, it has a “Work” mode… I put the “Work” mode to work today for the very first time. I asked it to go look at Katie’s website CVEMUN, and clean it up and migrate it over to a domain that I was not using, and use a new, much more “user friendly” theme. I requested the “Astra” theme, but for some reason it chose “Helio Magazine”. I’m not quite sure if this was a good decision, or a flaw in the prompt, or a “bug” in the AI system somehow… At any rate, it’s better than what Katie had, so we’ll keep it. Next up, get Katie to give it the “run through” and see if she likes it.
Kai, one of Bobby’s classmates, came over to play with him today. They spent part of the time playing billiards in the garage. Bobby went over to his place tonight for a sleepover. They fell asleep in front of the television watching a movie (see photo to the right). This pretty well tells you how exhausting the day was.
Oh, and back to CVEMUN… If Katie likes the new look and feel of the CVEMUN website we have another decision. I can just export what I have and import it into the CVEMUN domain. In this way Katie will be up and running in a matter of seconds. If, on the other hand, she wants to learn how to create and maintain a website, then she can use the new framework as a template and manually go through all the steps herself. Much more time consuming to be sure, but much more rewarding as well. Something of substance to put on your resume. Heaven knows what website development will look like in a few years…probably more along the lines of “think it and it is”.
