Day #5602 – (Thu., May 8, 2025) – The Graystones!
Katie is home sick today but Bobby went to school. I picked him up at Huband at 2:30 pm, as usual. I showed him this video of “The Graystones” playing “Smooth Operator” on YouTube. The bass player (see photo to the left) reminds me of Bobby. We talked a bit about him being in a band one day. I told him that he will be miles ahead of the skills over the other guys because of all of his violin training.
I made a supply run this afternoon. My wife wanted me to return an Amazon package to Staples, where you drop their packages off these days. While there they wanted me to get some pencils and some background paper for a puzzle my wife is making. Well the pencils were easy, but there was no background paper large enough for the puzzle. There was a foam bristol board that was large enough, but it was too think. I went next door to Walmart and picked up some wrapping paper. My wife tried this but it was too “wrinkley”… Hmmm… Not sure what the next step is…
My wife’s birthday is tomorrow so I reminded Katie and had her remind Bobby. I guess that Bobby already has a present for her that the picked up. What could it be?
Well, I’m having PC woes this evening! For some reason my Dell desktop will not connect to the internet from time-to-time. I’ve also noticed that my mouse double-clicks are very slow and there is quite a hesitation to open windows and files. I see that this PC was purchased in 2020, during the COVID lockdown, so maybe it’s time to get another one. We have a Costco down the street, maybe they have a good deal on…
