Both kids went to school. Katie finished her work early so my wife went to pick her up.
Take a look at the art Katie did today (see photo to the right).
I picked up Bobby at Huband this afternoon. I asked him if he wanted to go out for our talk that he mentioned yesterday, so off we went, effectively Daddy/Son Chat #19. He wanted to go to Costco for one of their ice creams, so maybe he didn’t have anything important to share after all? Maybe he was just craving some Costco ice cream? No problem! It was fun to hang out with him anyway.
At Costco Bobby had not only a sundae, but one of their large cookies and some chicken and chips as well. I texted my wife and daughter to see if they wanted anything, and while we waited we found a table inside of Costco and sat and chatted… We started off by talking about his trip to Lithuania in a little over a month. He is very excited about meeting his cousins, and seeing all the sights around London and Paris. We got to talking about the wall in London that the Romans built. This morphed into a talk of Hadrian’s Wall to keep out the “Wild Scots” and how they brought bagpipes into battle, which the Romans thought were demons coming over the hills. This lead to talk of our ancestors coming from Scotland, not Ireland. They were the people that England sent over to Ireland as a foothold on that island.
Soon my wife and daughter texted that they wanted hot dogs and a drink, we picked them up, and were back home.
Dave from Tower Fencing emailed me this afternoon. We were going to meet him tomorrow morning but my wife is going to Huband Elementary so we will need to reschedule.
