Day #5640 – (Sun., June 15, 2025) – Father’s Day!
Today is Father’s Day and the kids each wrote out cards to give me! Bobby’s is on the top and Katie’s is on the bottom. In addition, my wife found the automatic photo album that was misplaced after our move to Cary! The only photos on it are pre-2012 so yes, this is the one! Apparently I put it in the box for safe keeping so it wouldn’t get damaged during the move. That was such a hectic time it looks like I forgot about it.
Katie’s is not feeling too well after the COVID shot she received yesterday!
The deer was back this morning. Munching on the grass in the pasture without a care in the world. I sneaked outside and when he saw me he ran back to the area where our property meets Carolyn’s so that must be where he is getting in.
Katie had a hankering for McDonalds so I drove her to pick up her favorite “2 Cheeseburger EVM (Extra Value Meal). We also picked up one for Bobby and I drove it home before Katie and I went for a drive. No cute “Gluten Free Guy” at the drive thru window today!
For today’s drive we ended up trying to find where the old highway where you turn a right at Huband intersects with Dove Creek Road. It was quite a ways away!
When we got back I “wacked” the tall grass that is on the edge of our main paddock area. Nice to get that done.
I happened to come across a beautiful song that I want to learn on the guitar. It took some investigating and searching it, but I found out that it is: “Sweet Dreams” by Jang Nara.
My wife wants me to start saving coffee grounds as they are apparently good for plants.
My wife is missing all her 2015-2019 photos, perhaps because of a faulty external drive. I’m going to try and see if I can get them back.
