Day #5644 – (Thu., June 19, 2025) – First Cricut Design!

Both kids went to school today. Tomorrow is Katie’s last day of school for the year, but Bobby still has next week. Bobby was still sore so he didn’t ride his bike today. His mother dropped him off at Huband and I picked him up. I picked up Katie at 3:10 pm and we were thinking of going for a drive but the kids had their viola/violin lessons moved up by Daisy so we had to rush home.

My wife wanted me to pick up some groceries while I was out this afternoon and I ended up at Walmart. Katie was real excited about the corn dogs I picked up. Bobby said he didn’t really like them, but was super excited about the Mr. Freeze pops I purchased…they just need to freeze. I also picked up some cabbage rolls for my wife.

Katie made her first Cricut design today (see photo to the left). As it turns out, the paper that the Cricut prints on will not work in our laser printer, so we purchased an ink jet for her. Amazon is having a 50% off sale on printers today, so good timing.

Bobby brought home a high risk school consent form to sign for biking next week. It requires a witness to verify my wife’s signature! Carolyn was off to dinner, Deena had an appointment , Robert and Gale are gone to Newfoundland, Tara was not responding, and Brittney was busy putting the kids to bed. So my wife saw a lady on the street walking a dog and ran out and and asked her to sign!!! She was slightly shocked at first, but they had a nice chat. She’s the lady running the daycare on Gibson street. Her dog is 15 years old!

Bobby has a little ‘planner’ that they fill out every day at school (see photo to the right). My wife signs it every day. It’s a good practice…getting him off on the road to journaling just like dad, and my father before me.

This consent form was for biking next week. Bobby is going to the pool tomorrow and my wife already signed that one.
