Katie is home today for her “Flex Day” but Bobby went to school.
I took Bobby’s eBike out to Black’s Cycle in Comox this afternoon and they were open! It was raining outside, and the tech was between projects, so he fixed the rear tire for me while I waited. It was a bit more challenging than most bikes in that the read wheel is held to the frame of the eBike by a control wire, so he had to work around that. In addition, the wheel itself is rather small so it was relatively hard to get a new inner tube on it. Nonetheless, he did get it working and all for under $50 (see photo to the right).
I drove it open in the rain and despite the rain, Bobby couldn’t help but go outside and try it out. He said that it was even faster than before, which tells me he was riding it on a not fully inflated tire for a bit. He’s very excited to take it to school tomorrow as one of his classmates wants to go eBike riding with him. He wanted to go riding last Friday, but Thursday was when the flat tire happened. At any rate, he’s up and running, or should I say “cycling” now…
We’re looking into the roosting issue for our new hens. We could buy something online, but it’s cheaper and more flexible to go to Home Depot and get some rods and configure it to your liking.
NVDA all time high today so I sold $12,000 worth in my Roth and $12,000 in my Traditional IRA. I will keep this money in the accounts, but will buy $2,000 in each account of: PSTG, HON, NBIS, CRWV, IONQ, and NVTS to take advantage of next wave of AI and Quantum Computing.
