Katie is very excited that another one of her friends, Soulina, might join the Interact (Vanier Rotary) Club with her and also go on that weekend youth leadership retreat with her! Katie hasn’t talked to Emma about it yet, but she expressed an interest as well. It will be quite a fun outing for “the girls”.

With all the “stuff” on Katie’s plate she’s not sure if she can keep up with the commitments of the “Model UN” club that she also joined. Apparently it already has 10-15 kids in it. I told her that it’s all good… Just do the best you can, and if you feel it’s more pressure than you are able to handle right now, you can always drop out. I relayed how pressure is a funny thing, and she might find that what she thought was pressure turns out to actually be fun, and something she wouldn’t miss for the world. Life’s kinda funny that way. Time will tell if “Model UN” is on Katie’s schedule this fall.
It’s so much easier for the kids (and Maple) to get “out and about” and exercise here as opposed to Chapel Hill (see photo to the right)! That’s nice!
Bobby was playing a “VR Headset” game in his bedroom this evening. He told me that it was from the same creators as “Gorilla Tag”, but not that specific game. I was joking with him as he flailed about moving his arms and twisting this way and that about potential “COVID” symptoms… A light-hearted moment in the middle of a VR game… 🙂
I ventured out to Best Buy again this evening in hopes that the computer would have been dropped off, but they did not update the tracking info. No such luck! They say it’s out for delivery tomorrow, but will that be to Best Buy, or will it be to the house again? Note to self… Avoid Purolator! I have so much to do as of late it’s no urgent rush to have it, but the music studio would sure like to have it in house…
